Executive Director
Beth Eyre
Beth Eyre is a dedicated community member with a lifelong commitment to supporting children, families, and neighbors in need and has spent more than two decades strengthening local connections and expanding access to essential resources. For 25 years, she has led the Community Sharing Project, helping create a more bountiful holiday season for families in need living in the towns of Dorset, Danby, Rupert, Pawlet, and Wells. In 2026, she launched Community Sharing Foundation of Southern Vermont that integrates her experience in education, social work, and community organizing to further strengthen support systems for families and children in our community. Beth's professional background spans education and social services. She taught kindergarten and first grade for 13 years in CT, MA and VT, bringing a strong foundation in early childhood learning and holds a master’s degree in education. From 2018-2025, she served as a social worker/family support liaison within our local BRSU schools, where she worked directly with students and families to address basic needs and connect them with community resources, including support programs and summer enrichment opportunities all designed to keep students engaged in learning. Beth has been married to Bill Eyre for 33 years and is the mother of two sons, Ramsay and Chapin. She has lived in Dorset for 28 years.
